clean spot / WHIP risk is the matchup-adjusted xwOBA-against. stud (blue) is the arm itself, worth a look even in a tough spot.

Leash is IP per start: does he go deep enough to bank a quality start. A homer-prone arm with command is fine here, his WHIP holds even when runs score.

The risk chip is variance the ranking is blind to: blowup flags a homer-prone or wild arm walking into a power lineup or bandbox, steady is a safe floor. It flags the landmine, it does not rule it out.
